Description
Develop the State Scholarship Fund was established to provide access to quality education for doctors who live in developing countries to attend the AAHPM and HPNA Annual Assembly in Vancouver. The scholarship program will provide financial support (up to $ 5,000) for doctors to learn the latest clinical information and research updates in palliative care and the hospital of the leading experts in the field.
The scholarship program is intended to facilitate the participation of the Annual Assembly and the usual closing costs associated with meeting registration, travel-related expenses (air fare, taxi fare, meals), and lodging.
Requirements
Scholarships are available for physicians who live in developing countries (as defined by the World Health Organization) and care for terminally ill patients. Preference will be given to applicants who
member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine AAHPM (Virtual memberships are available for physicians who live in a country on the list of eligible countries HINARI)
never attended the Annual Assembly
is a junior in their careers, and
organizations that are considered least able to get this opportunity.

Submit the completed application form along with resume upload (limit two pages), and letters of recommendation or approval by November 1, 2011.
